Boredoms performed with 88 drummers for the Los Angeles debut of '88 BoaDrum' on Friday night (August 8).
The 88 percussionists performed for 88 minutes beginning at 8:08pm with a star-studded lineup that featured drummers from various bands including Modest Mouse, Bauhaus and Hole.
The giant drum band divided their performance into three segments, playing rock and roll and world-music-influenced beats.
Thousands flocked to the release event at the La Brea Tar Pits. A similar event took plaza in New York at 8:08 EST with Gang Gang Dance leading the drumming charge.
